Jesus loves children, and at Church on the Mountain the children's ministry reflects His desire for children to come to Him. We have the awesome responsibility and privilege to come alongside parents to teach and nurture each child in the grace and knowledge of the Lord. (Matthew 28:19-20; 2 Peter 3:18). Our purpose in children’s ministry is to glorify God by introducing children to Jesus Christ and teaching them how to have a genuine and passionate relationship with their Savior. We are committed to teaching the truth as it is found in the pages of Scripture, and living it out in our daily lives. It is our sincere prayer that God instills a deep love for Himself in the hearts of each child as they learn more about Him and choose to obey Him, building up their faith in Him. Children’s Ministry-BUILDING KIDS!!!
Sunday Mornings (all activities take place during the second service, @ 10:45am Ages 0-4: For babies and very young children, nursery services are available every Sunday morning during the second service. The nursery is newly re-done, featuring clean carpet, clean toys, and a safe as well as fun place to play. Parents can rest at ease knowing that their child is enjoying a safe and loving environment while they are in the main service. Grades K-6: At Church on the Mountain, we believe that God has called people of all ages to be a part of His church. As such, we invite children of all ages to come and join in the main service with their families where we will worship together as a church family. When worship is done, the children will be dismissed to their leaders who will be waiting for them in the back of the auditorium to lead them to their age appropriate classes. Children in the third grade or lower will need to be picked up by their parents in the “Kids Korner” room in the Children’s Center. What we are learning: The Attributes of God Every building has a foundation. It is the foundation that keeps the building strong so that construction workers are able to build a strong house. Without a foundation, the house cannot stand! For every Christian, the foundation of life is God! He is the central part of our faith-- the foundation we build our whole life on! Every Sunday during the second service, children will learn a different attribute of God. Who is God? What is He like? How should I act toward Him? Join us in answering these questions as we search the pages of God’s word together!
